My dentist's office called to remind me of my appointment to get my teeth cleaned. When I got off the phone Hannah said she wanted her teeth cleaned too. So I called a children's dentist and made an appointment.
Not fun filling out new patient paper work, especially when you have to do it twice. Hannah and Gavin did so well.
First they got "pictures" (X-rays) of their teeth.
Around every corner they had these bins full of cheap little prizes. Gavin pulled out all the little plastic animals. Hannah found some play money, which she wanted to buy diamonds with, and some jewelery.
Next, the "Tooth-Fairy's friend," the dentist, counted their teeth. She was going to tell the Tooth-Fairy that Hannah has done a good job keeping her teeth clean.
Finally, they got their teeth cleaned. Hannah had a fluoride treatment as well.
I'm so happy their first dental experience was a positive one.

Family Fun Day
We had one of the busiest Saturdays we've had in a long time. I was out the door by 9am with the kids. Kevin got home really late from his hockey game the night before so we let him sleep in.
I trained my client and taught my class. Kevin met us at the gym with the kids bathing suits. We surprised Hannah and Gavin by taking them swimming because it was such a beautiful day.
After swimming we ate lunch and then Hannah and Gavin rode their bike/trike for about an hour. We went to a BBQ and I made these cute cupcakes with my friends. Stacy baked the cupcakes, I decorated them, and Leslie brought the corn on the cob holders. We sprinkled them with black and white sprinkles for the salt and pepper. I loved them, but they were missing the chunk of butter (a yellow starburst).
We met Aaron and Rachel at Glacial Gardens in Anaheim.
This is where Kevin and Aaron learned how to skate... and now Hannah and Gavin.
Daddy sure liked showing off by spraying us with ice and taking the kids on fast rides around the ice rink. Kevin is such a great ice skater.
Gavin had a lot of help from Aaron too...
Hannah really started to get the hang of it. I was so proud of her!
Since my feet hurt so badly from those nasty rentals I quit skating about half way though. My poor ankles were dying. Kevin and Aaron were the last ones off the ice. I don't know if I'm much of a skater. We'll have to see about next time.

I am so happy that Aaron and Rachel were there, because I can not skate at all. I had such a hard time trying to help Hannah. It was like the blind leading the blind. Thanks for helping so much with the kids
Gavin just loved every second of it.My hockey boys...

"No Water Polo... I Love Hockey," said Gavin Jones
My heart broke today as my son uttered (shouted) the words... "no water polo, I love hockey!"
Lately, I've been taking him to watch water polo games. I go to watch the girls I trained this past fall. I love the smell of the chlorine, the sound of the whistle, the feeling of the warm sun! I miss playing so much. I'm not excited about living the latter part of my life in a freezing cold ice rink.

Snow Princess
Hannah has been in Ohio for what seems like forever. Kevin and I try to call her everyday and she NEVER wants to talk to us. She is too busy living in her perfect world at Mamo J and Papa T's house. Hannah is getting totally spoiled. Which a child should be at her Grandparent's house.
Joyce told me that Hannah convinced her to buy a new Sleeping Beauty dress, Barbie and the Diamond Castle DVD, and a Sleeping Beauty Barbie.
I think Hannah has had a magical trip. She gets to play with her cousins, help Mamo J cook, take bath's in the giagantic bathtub, and go for rides in Papa T's new car. I guess they are going on a sleigh ride today. A real sleigh ride with beautiful Percheron horses and a real sleigh.
Papa T sent me these pictures of Hannah plying in the snow in their backyard The snow plow pushes all the snow on their driveway into a huge pile, a perfect size "hill" for a 4 year-old. I laughed when I saw her in tights and her sparkly pink skirt. So Hannah...
I think this is a snowman they are posing with.
Oh she is so cute and I can't wait to see her on Wednesday! I can't wait to squeeze her little body and kiss her chubby cheek!
Thank you Mamo J and Papa T for giving Hannah a magical vacation! I think she has LOVED every second of it!

Christmas to New Year's
Wow, what a crazy two weeks we've had. If anyone has tried to call me, I apologize, my phone is broken and I haven't had a chance to get a new one.
After Christmas, we took off to Palm Springs with Kevin's parents. It was nice and warm, my mother-in-law and I got manicures and pedicures at the most amazing place. They actually massaged your feet instead of just rubbing lotion on your shin with gloved hands. It was quality.
We spent the rest of the day swimming in the 85 degree pool...
The next day we went to The Living Desert. It was awesome. I don't think I'd like the place in the summer, but it was a beautiful day in December.
Papa Tee and the kids riding the Warthog. See Gavin's pirate sword? He carried that thing all day!Gavin loved the giraffes...and the zebras...
The cheetah was active, it's nice to see animals at the zoo that aren't sleeping.
The kids liked the petting zoo too.
We really enjoyed the zoo. Thank you Mamo J and Papa Tee for a fun trip, we all had a great time!
For New Year's Eve our family loves to go to the Rose Parade.
This was the first year we took Hannah and Gavin, we had not been for awhile. I bundled them up well. Some lady commented how I shouldn't have my kids out so late. I love unsolicited parental advice. I said, "Yea, I'm a cool mom!" I stole that line from my friend. Come on lady, it's New Year's Eve!
Jeremy was not excited to go to the parade. Jeremy is from Arizona, so he didn't know thought it was going to be lame. Once he saw the floats he LOVED it.
All the floats line up the night before, you can walk up right next to them. The details are amazing. Here are some of our favorites...
Hannah loved all of them, but she was excited to see the the Wizard of Oz float...
Gavin loved the zebras...
Kevin loved the Alaskan float's tribal masks and dogs...
And I loved the USC float!
They had dogs skateboarding on a float. So cute! Look how BIG this dog is!
The next day we slept in and enjoyed a day of laziness. It was much needed. Hannah rode her bike she got for Christmas, she is getting better every time. Gavin played hockey with Kevin.
That night Hannah got to go to Ohio with Mamo J and Papa Tee. They took the red eye (yuck) right after the Rose Bowl Game. Hannah was so excited. She packed 5 carry-on bags. We had to prioritize and fit everything in one suit case. When she walked into the airport with her grandparents she looked so grown up. She is such a sweet girl. She'll be in Ohio for about 10 days.
